The first glimpse of the provisional PGOU was released on Friday July 16th 2010. This is the projected urban development plan forwarded to the Valencia State Authorities for their inspection and approval. It will be available for public examination in the Chapel of Saint Ana, the boardroom of the municipal planning department, until August 31st 2010. The project returns to Jávea in June of 2011, just after the municipal elections, for final rectification, alteration, amendment and approval. It is then returned to Valencia to become the formal PGOU forming the basis of projected development for the next ten (10) years. If you have objections or recommendations, indeed any changes at all, you should prepare your submissions in the forthcoming months. For practical purposes it contains all the names of the different areas of the town.Do note that while this document will be the principal guide to the next stage; it now goes for assessment and initial approval from a technical perspective in Valencia, then returns to Jávea / Xàbia next year after the local elections (May 22nd) for final confirmation when last changes and alterations may be made. While those of you who can read and interpret these documents may find them most useful, remember they are not strategic guides. How and when any items are implemented are contained in the strategic plans and intentions of the administration at any time. Scroll down to see the town plan.
